  1. I think…. Judging on the squad you’re missing out Sakho.
I think if he can sort himself out there’s still a place for Sakho.

    • Seriously, enough about Sakho. He won’t be playing for us again. Get over it.

      • Of course he will play , Bilic has said as much ? Valencia will probably go ! If sakho is still here by the end of the window , and IMO he will be for obvious reasons , he will play a part and if he starts scoring goals are you not going to cheer ! Let’s see what pans out , we haven’t secured a replacement yet .as pointed out calleri is being a possible barca target so until he signs its in the lap.!
Unless Sean knows different ! He is in the sakho must go camp ?
        I’m in the remain !!

        • Bilic has said nothing of the sort. Sakho by his petulance and refusal to train has cost the club £16m. Due to his behaviour alone he shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the first team. Callieri has said himself he is coming to us so I really can’t understand why people are regurgitating old stories about Barca.

          • Of course he did , he said he is still contracted to the club and as such has a part to play ??
What a player says and what a player does are two completely different talking points , until he signs a contract that’s a nieve statement ,
I hope sakho stays and gets his nut down , life’s to short for grudges !
Who among us has never been petulant or had a row at work ??
Cost me thousands once ! But hey , s##t happens .
            Live and let live !

    • Couldn’t agree more ., wtw . I for one wish / want west ham to sort it out between them .
He is an asset too good to throw away on a grudge .
Great to finally see some forward motion on the signings . RB is still an issue though .
Don’t know who made the accompanying football map above ;; not an Englishman for sure. Some yank or other . Just waiting for a few more signings to be confirmed and should be us for the 2016/17 kick off . Feeling optimistic , especially after that performance against Juventus . Loads of promise .

    • I hope I am wrong but I don’t think Sakho will play again for the first team.

      • He’s still in the squad Sean , and by putting him on the list greatly improves it !
Ayews not done yet either ? 120 g a week ? ?????as some are saying ,
Until he signs he ain’t on board ?? Yet !

      • I think unless we have a complete failure in the striker department Sakho is history, or unless they need to put him in the shop window, he is training on his own which says something, they don’t want his attitude polluting the squads. For whatever reason Valencia looks a lot happier this season, maybe him and Sakho didn’t get on who knows but he looks full of energy and despite what a lot of others think of him it is clear he is one of the best readers of the game in the squad and I hope he still has a future with us.

  2. Also… Is Calleri actually a done deal? Is it still going through? Especially as Barcelona have “apparently” come in for him.

  3. Where does that leave Reece Burke?

  4. Plus Antonio is NOT a RB!!!!!

  5. Ooooi BILIC !!! Antonio is not a right back ?

    • From what I have seen so far, Antonio is doing everything in his power to show Bilic that he is not a Right back. You can see he hates playing there. End of last season he said ‘Imagine how many goals I would have got if I had been playing on the wing more’ and this season he said that he was determined to make himself the best winger in the PL. Me thinks we might have an unhappy Antonio before long. That will be a shame as I love his powerful runs, where even he looks like he doesn’t know what he is going to do next. Not sure Ive seen him knocked off the ball yet!

  6. I was mightily impressed with all the youngsters against Juve. Reece Burke in particular looked very sharp at RB. And Cullen had a great game so I’m a little disappointed they are not included in the above map. As for Oxford, Slav really has to find game time for him or risk losing him. Finally, Antonio at RB. Not for me but Slav seems determined that that is where he will play. A real shame because the guy is an absolute beast in the final third. I doubt if there are too many LB’s in the EPL that would relish playing against him!

  7. How have we gone in the space of a week from the manager saying we need five more via the board saying no more to the promised big names to now having depth after just two/possibly three signings? Squad does not have the strength in numbers it needs and obviously some of the comments from people like Tony Gale about the board not backing Slav like he deserves has some truth in it. When you look at that team again taking into account the realities of the injuries we have and that several of our team haven’t had a full pre season, you realise just how silly this article sounds. And no we don’t have two right backs!

This smacks of another preemptive pro club piece to nip discontent in the bud and lo and behold it is Sean who has written it. Hope they paid you well.

    • Calm down DJ I’m sure Sean hasn’t been paid for his opinion ?
Buy agree with a lot said !
The new boy is cup tied in Europe s well , so yes we are still short !

  8. We also have Fletcher wanting playing time & where has young Samuelson gone?

    • I am pretty sure Samuelson and a lot of the kids (not Fletcher or Oxford) are heading out on loan, the club website seems to allude to this when discussing Pask heading to the Gills for a season.

  9. I know one thing for sure, though we have done some reasonable business if this window was to make a statement of intent to other clubs or put a marker down to show the premier we mean business it has been one big wet fart…so far anyway.

    • If we had to pay market price for the free signings along with the reported £20m on Ayew our spending would have been north of £50m.
      Lanzini £8m
      Masuaku £6m
      Nordtveit (£10m? Market value)
      Feghouli (£10m? Market value)
      Torë £2.5m loan fee
      Ayew £20m
      Fletcher ????? Market value
      All internationals at some level
imo more signings will come in before the window closes
That is a lot of money spent & saved by good scouting.

  10. But we paid Nada for 2 next to nothing for 2 more and over paid for Ayew,
Burke is definitely RB cover with Oxford not Antonio,
Samulsun and Poyet should be put in the graphic as well,
I know Sean it would make it look unbalanced but
Antonio and Samulsun both should go on the right attacking Midfielder
    Swap Ayew and Payet
But that’s just picking, I personally don’t think we are finished just trying to keep things low key,
I think we will make a late RB deal loan or buy,
I also think we will loose Sak probably to Sunderland and Valencia,
Still think a big name CF will come inBacca or Bony

  11. Having watched Mandzukic yesterday if that is his usual level he could offer us a lot despite his age.
