David Gold has given his roughest reception yet to a Liverpool fan on Twitter.
The co-chairman is known for his one liners when answering complaints, abuse and insults from those who tend to choose the social media network in order to be downright rude.
But Gold has clearly had enough of being used as the butt for abuse and snapped back with a line is in true West Ham banter style.
A Liverpool fan – who clearly has far too short a memoty for his own good – decided to tell DG that he was in charge of a “tinpot club” and left himself open for a crippling verbal blow to the solar plexus.
DG declared in no uncertain manner: ”
David Gold Retweeted Liverpool ❤️
If Liverpool was beaten 3 times last season by a tinpot club what sort of club does that make you? dg
Lovely.Take some of that Bin Dipper!!
Well played DG
DG creases me up. He can slap anyone down with an unanswerable truth. It’s like he is swatting flies! So funny!
No-one ever learns; they merrily make some nasty, arrogant, snide insinuatation, and wallop; they get the sucker punch from DG, who makes them out to be the blithering idiots that they are. I LOVE IT! Box office Gold!
Not only have DS + DG + Karren shown the world how to run a football club, DG is black-belt Twitter master!
The man is top quality on Twitter,he takes so so much stck from some of our fans for being on it but he is classy.Always has time to wish people happy birthday, put pictures up of fans kids in their kits or to help in a fundraising event by retweeting. Some of our fans really do need to give it a rest.
