DG gives Cresswell update

Gold2David Gold has confrmed the club is anxious about the injury suffered by Aaron Cresswell in the closing minutes of the game against Karlsruher yesterday afternoon (Sat).

The brilliant left back was the victim of a horror tackle which was followed by serious scuffles between the two sets of players before he left the field.

ClaretandHugh was told earlier – and informed readers – the player was likely to be out for a month – and it could be as many – GOD FORBID – as six.

That created a mini storm on Twitter and a DG follower was quick to ask the co-chairman to give them an update which was immediately forthcming.

DG told them ClaretandHugh’s sources were accurate and that they could trust this site for which of course we are very grateful.

He said: CandH sources are accurate and we are apprehensive but it doesn’t look minor. We await the scans in the next day or so good luck Aaron. dg”

  1. No more on Cresswell until after the scan, please! It’s becoming a story about a story.

  2. The cresswell injury epic runs on and on. Great story with input from everyone from David Golld to a European based South American journalist who was at the game visiting his Austrian TV presenter girlfriend. Brilliant stuff. Ha ha.

  3. Hugh perhaps I suggest you open up the C&H dairy certainly the amount you are milking this Cresswell story there should be enough pints left over to fund a new business.

  4. What is with this ‘horror tackle’,sorry I just dont see it that way.Maybe I need to go to Specsavers.Other optical outlets are available 😀

  5. So we have best case scenario four weeks. That is bearable, just.Six months will be tragic.Keep up the good work Hugh, sure as hell beats reading Allardyce articles. The blog equivalent of click bait!!

  6. What’s with the horror tackle thing. The guy made no contact with Cressie. It was just a block tackle and Cressie got injured when he kicked the ball. Look at the video.
