DG gives striker return date opinion

|

West-Ham-United-co-owner-David-GoldDavid Gold is claiming confidence that Diafra Sakho is bang in the frame for a Spurs return.

The co chairman – having shown his fury over the Dimitri Payet injury more than most is seemingly moving on.

A  Liverpool website this morning produced a Twitter quote in which he allegedly said: “I believe Everton’s game plan was to stop Dimitri Payet playing – and that’s what they did.”

However, there was no sign of the tweet on his site earlier this morning!

That was followed by some critical forum comments but DG is now looking ahead to the game at White Hart Lane and the return – hopefully – of our Number One striker.

He said: “Yes, I am hopeful that Sakho will be back for the Spurs game.”

Updates from the medical staff suggest that with the exception of Payet, everybody will be available for the clash at White Hart Lane following the behind-closed-doors game at Upton Park against Palace yesterday.
