DG approves OS badge design

CrestOSDavid Gold says has approved  a new West Ham crest with an Olympic Stadium silhouetted in the background.

The crest has  been designed by Ben Anthonisz was sent to the Chairman via social media.

Gold responding to the crest on twitter said “I actually like this crest.”  When other fans pointed out the ball looked too Spurs like he responded “Maybe we could take a look at it without the ball dg”

It is understood that over 35% of Hammers supporters would like a representation of our new home in Stratford on the new crest based on responses from the recent consultation on a possible change of crest.

The YouGov poll finished on Friday 6pm and the Hammers are nervously awaiting the results after many of social media said they didn’t like the club’s proposed design.

  1. Blue colour is wrong and the stadium should not be on the crest. I like the crest proposed by the club but the only change I’d make (if London was to be kept) would be to change the colour of London as per the above crest in order to distinguish between the name of our club and London

  2. Why are we over doing it on the badge? Just keep the crossed hammers and the 1895. The stadium is not necessary and am I the only one who hates the ‘London’? Think it is really chavvy and the kind of thing Millwall would have.
