DG takes to Twitter after win

David Gold has taken to Twitter to hail West Ham’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Sunday.

The Hammers turned in a gritty, solid performance against the Blades.

Seb Haller’s screamer from the edge of the box was enough for victory, and moved the Irons into the top eight at full time.

And Gold issued his congratulations to manager David Moyes and the team after a fine victory, their second one-goal success in a row, following the victory over Fulham before the international break.

Gold wrote: “Sheff Utd 0 West Ham United 1: Haller scores screamer that moves us up to eighth place, competent performance from the whole team. Well done David Moyes. dg.”

The Hammers will be out to keep up their momentum against Aston Villa next weekend before a game against Manchester United; neither should hold all that much fear for the Irons.

Moyes has done some excellent work thus far this season and the club have already taken points off the likes of Spurs and Manchester City thus far this season.

Sunday’s result was further confirmation that the Hammers are only going in one direction: Up!
