Co-chairman David Gold has made it clear that Mauro Zarate will be staying at Upton Park and will be getting his chance to impress.
The Argentine striker was given no chance as he struggled for form and fitness last season before being loaned out to Queens Park Rangers.
Gold, though, talking on Twitter, said he would get an opportunity under new boss Slaven Bilic.
He was answering a question on the social network from fan and made no bones about the player’s position next term.
He said: “The slate has been wipe clean and under Slaven everybody will get their chance.dg”
