And the next cab off the rank making its way to the London Stadium contains the Senaglese forward Habib Diallo – if reports are to believed
Currently rattling in the goals for RC Strasbourg Alsace ( sounds like a fancy bottle of wine !) the 28 years old has hit the back of the net 41 times in 103 games.
Last season he contributed 20 goals in 38 appearances, responsible for 39% of all their goals; which on the face of it does not look at all shabby.

Diallo- yet another target
Also, FBref ranks Diallo in the top 11% of all forwards across Europe’s top five leagues for aerial duels won last season (4.22 per 90 minutes), while he is in the top 17%in terms of non-penalty goals scored (0.53 per 90).
To put that in some perspective, Gianluca Scamacca – our £35m misfiring striker languishes in the bottom 40% in both metrics with 1.65 and 0.29 respectively.
Needless to say, we are not the only club looking at him, as Newcastle have also expressed an interest
Diallo is contracted to the French club until 2025, although he is expected to make a move in the Summer.
Transfermarkt has him valued at about £16m , so in the scheme of things he is not that expensive.
As we all know one of the reasons for the Irons flirtation with relegation last season was our form (or lack of it) in front of goal. As we look to bolster our attack, he could be a good signing for us.
Go get him Mr Steidten !
