Diangana gives clue to future

|

Grady Diangana has made it crystal clear he is more than happy at West Brom learning his trade and gaining confidence under former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.

Yes, there;s a degree of uncertainty over his immediate future and with the Hammers suffering a couple of injuries there’s a discussion going on as to whether he may be needed back at the London Stadium.

However, with the Hammers manager believing he is better off where he is – assuming there’s no real emergency over his own team plans – it seems probable he will see his time out at The Hawthorns.

The Irons can trigger his release clause at anytime between January 1-14 but the player would seemingly really prefer to see himself in the west midlands until next May and hopefully with a Championship medal

In an interview published towards the end of last month he expressed his delight at being part of an exciting Albion team which currently heads the Championship.

He said: “I’m really enjoying my time at West Bromwich Albion. Playing every week is amazing for me and it’s helping me gain a lot of confidence. I feel very comfortable at the Club and everyone has been treating me really well.

“To be a big part of the team shows that Slaven Bilić has trust and confidence in me and that makes me feel special. It’s really nice to be a part of the team.

“We expected to be good this season. We play good football, we defend well and we attack well. We’re a very good team so we’ve always had high hopes and high standards for ourselves.

“There are a lot of different types of players but we are all gelling well. The chemistry is good and the feeling in the dressing room is really good. Everything is going well.

“I’m enjoying every moment and I just want to keep improving and keep getting better and better.”

Unless West Ham and Pelligrini improve and become consistent I can see Diangana leaving West Ham for West Brom next season , especially if they win promotion to the Premiership .

How will he feel if West Brom get promoted and West Ham get relegated. He will end up in the EFL again

What would be the point in him sitting on the Bench at West Ham when he could be getting 40 or 50 games into his legs in a tough league, not to mention his monetary value To West Ham will be increasing by him playing well in the Championship! 🤨
