Dicks on Kouyate absence

|

KouyHonest Julian Dicks has made it clear Cheik Kouyate was unfit to face Birkirkara last night.

In a response to a Twitter follower, The Terminator used three words to answer a question on why the Senegalese midfielder was missing from last night’s squad

He declared:”Fitness reasons Jason.”

Kouyate made a big impression last season cementing a central midfield berth filling in at centre back on occasion but has failed to make an appearance this far.

Meanwhile we have learned that Enner Valencia is back in “light training” and could be available for the secon leg of the match next week.

He will be good as gold come the Gooners match, probably before. We need him if lastnights midfield performance was anything to go by 😉

  • Si Hammer says:

Lol bubs.Must be many midfielders still trying to recover from doing Nolans work last year 😉

  • bubs says:

Still trying to get over doing his and Nolans work last year,
He will be fit for the premier and that’s good enough,as soon as Poyet came on yesterday we looked a different side,
Slav should have seen enough last night to name a new club captain and tell Nolan he is not in his plans any more,

  • Hammers54 says:

I wonder if his fitness prep has been hindered by Ramadan which has now ended?

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I wonder if Slav is making them train harder than Sam did, would be odd considering they only had a few weeks off for his conditioning to take so long to get right.

I’ve got a feeling these fitness reasons won’t be lasting long lol
