Dimitri Payet took to social media to say his thank you for picking up the 2016 London Player of the Year award last night:
“I am very honoured and proud to receive this trophy tonight. I would like to thank all those who selected me. When I look at the list of nominees they are all excellent players from excellent clubs. It makes this trophy even more special. I would like to say thank you to my club West Ham and all those who work there every day. My coach Slaven Bilic as well as all the team. Without them I wouldn’t be here. Of course a special thank you to all hammer supporters. Finally, I would like to dedicate this trophy to my wife, present tonight as well as our 3 gorgeous sons, my parents and all those close to us in good and more difficult times. Thank You to all of you!!! “
Maybe his 3 sons will take after him and all play for West Ham
