Diop dubs Haller the “complete striker”

Sebastin Haller is a player well known to fellow Frenchman Issa Diop who has had no hesitation in dubbing him a “complete striker.”

Diop has proved over a number of interviews that he always gives a forthright and honest view and his opinion – without any kind over statement – and thus we can genuinely respect his comments on the €45m record signing .

And having played with him for the French under 21s, the central defender is in a perfect position to give his opinion whom he linked up with again at Rush Green yesterday (Wed).

Diop has also defended against the new boy in training and various occasions and is particularly impressed impressed ith his new Hammers team-mate.

Indeed, training ground sources have revealed  that both the 25 year old Frenchman and newly signed Spaniard Pablo Fornals enjoyed an outstanding first day with their new squad colleagues and looked pretty spectacular as they started to bed in.

And speaking to www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/july/25-july/issa-diop-west-ham-new-boy-haller-complete-striker, Diop declared: “Sebastien is a very good player, he is very strong and he has very good technique and I hope he is going to score a lot of goals for us!”

“I played alongside him for France U21s and we had a few games together and also many training sessions, so I know how difficult he is to challenge because he is very tall and very powerful.

“He uses his body very well to make things tough for the defenders, so I hope he can do that for us.”

Haller’s style of play has drawn comparisons with Manchester United and Belgium centre forward Romelu Lukaku.

And Diop explained:“It’s true that they are similar because Sebastien is a target man who can also score and do everything, and he also has good speed, so I would say he is a complete striker.

“As a person, he is also very good. He is humble but also very funny, so he will be good to have in the squad.

“I think he’s going to bring a lot to this Club.”

  1. I think Haller will prove to be a great signing and having his positivity rather than Marko’s toxic waste will make all the difference.

I was rather excited watching Pablo Fornals in training yesterday. Just watching his movement was fantastic. He glides like Felipe. Can’t wait for the new season to begin!
