Diop set for new deal talks

Issa Diop is set to be offered a new contract at the end of the season.

The Irons centre-back was particularly impressive against Leicester after replacing Kurt Zouma after the latter pulled out due to illness.

He had had previous problems in some games but the manager remain a fan of the player and with  ageing back four player Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson at 31 intends to keep the faith in the young Frenchman who has a one year option on his current contract.

We have reported that West Ham will absolutely not sell Diop the 25 year old in the summer transfer window but instead they are likely to sit down with him and try to thrash out a new deal.

His current contract is set to expire in 2023 but the Hammers would like to keep him on the books at the London Stadium.

Moyes does not want to lose any defenders in the summer and is instead planning to add to that area of the squad when the summer window rolls around.
