Diop’s battle cry to fellow Hammers

|

Issa Diop says every Hammer is determined not to let West Ham’s much-improved 2020/21 season go unrewarded.

With nine games to play Diop told the official club website “We’re going to have nine battles and I hope we’re going to win most of them”

“Our next group of games are very important, and we need to continue showing the steel and resilience we have shown this season in those games,” said the No23.

“No matter who we are playing against, whether it is the biggest team or a smaller team, we need to make sure we concentrate and be the same as we are in every game, working hard.

“It’s not easy, no matter who you play against. In England, every single game is difficult and every single game is different.

“Just because you play against someone low down in the table and it looks easy, it’s not! You have to fight for every ball and in every situation until the end of the game.

Claret and Hugh says:

It is great to hear Issa Diop positive mental attitiude and his cry to battle to his fellow Hammers teammates.  The difference between third and seventh  in the final standing of the Premier League table this season could come down to a point or even goal difference as six teams scrap for the remaining two Champions league places.

West Ham will need to treeat each game as a battle and fight for every minute of eveyr game if they want to qualify for Europe. What has happened in the season so far is meaningless if we fall at the last hurdle. That fight begins tonight at Wolves where only a win will do if we have Champions League ambitions this season.

Let the battle commence!
