Confusion reigns supreme as to whether West Ham United have in fact signed their deadline day defender deal off with Axel Disasi after more twists than a ’50’s dance hall. All day the talk has been of delays, problems, hold ups and tricky issues to solve as the defender who clearly isn’t enamoured with the idea of playing second fiddle to anyone at West Ham sought extra assurances and conditions.
Even as the 7pm deadline cut-off appeared, West Ham were saying officially that the deal was still on, but the player was making ‘extra last minute demands’.
If the deal sheet was signed by 7.00 pm then there is a two hour grace period to get the I’s dotted a the T’s crossed. But with nobody outside the club quite sure as to the exact state of play, it is nothing short of absurd that a player who cannot get game time at his own club feels he can effectively hold his new club to ransom.
It doesn’t bode well, does it.
And as for the board who left things until the last day of the window for what was arguably their most important signing – amateur in the extreme.
(Editor’s note – the club spokesman has since confirmed that the deal sheet did get submitted in time MT)
This transfer period has been a disaster and is about to get worse.
With the many click bait speculations pleased this saga has come to an end.
Every transfer period is same with numerous players associated to clubs.
Most of which is just filling articles with fabricated stories.
Let’s just get back to reality actual football.
No where enough, still think we will get relegated and worse still to come, unless of course Nuno finds a magic wand. If we do go down Sulivan must go.
Disasi loan has been confirmed as a done deal by Fabrizio Romano.
🚨⚒️ Axel Disasi to West Ham, here we go! Deal completed in time and now all approved.
Understand #WHUFC and Chelsea have agreed all terms of loan deal until end of the season.
Medical done earlier and documents now ok.
This guy obviously has a far higher opinion of himself than anybody else has.He should realise that he can’t even get into the Chelsea reserves, but still he is getting paid for doing nothing.Even Villa couldn’t use him and its out of desperation that we are entertaining signing him. With that attitude I feel this is a very bad mistake if it goes through. He really does not want to play football,so he can spend the next 3 years with Chelsea youth players.
Is it to late to pull out of this ridiculous deal , lets go for broke and give the academy defenders a chance, its odd on that we will be relegated and at least they will get some experience.
We’ve got to hope for the best and give this guy a chance but it is incredible that facing likely relegation we have shelled out less (Taty, Pablo, Traore) than we got in (Paqueta, Luis, Irving).
Igor heads back early from his failed move, if Disaster does sign with his awful attitude is any manager going to let that hang around his first team or reserves ? Not any I know…
Down the pub enjoying a few pints will have a celebratory one if this drops out.
Disaster living upto his name, an arrogant entitled muppet that is worthless, how long will it take to get him match fit ??? And then he doesn’t want to play for us and has said so numerous times, Nuno wants players that are up for a fight, disaster is up for laying back earning his salary in Chelsea’s reserves, he has checked out on his career already, like Sterling who at least had a career at one point in time…
Given Nuno’s patterns does Sullivan think he is going to play a player that he doesn’t want
Sullivan is insulting us, he is a pathetic disgrace of a chairman and needs to resign immediately.
Martin, it isn’t “amateur in the extreme “, it is a very deliberate ploy by the board. Everyone connected to the club knew months ago that we needed to strengthen our defensive options in this window and they quite simply haven’t done it. It’s a very sad state of affairs and it will be a miracle if we do manage to stay up.
Honestly I would terminate the deal without waiting and let him go back and clean benches
I am wondering why they did not go to the transfer market of free agents and found two or three defenders that are free agents and prices around million plus
Seems keen doesn’t he😀😀
I cannot believe we’re holding our breath on Disasi. If Adama hadn’t have started that dust up then Todibo would be available for the next three games…
Strikes me of the player thinking he is doing us a favour to be honest. Stinks.
That’s why I wanted Pinnock – Craig Dawson mark 2
The adage about never signing a player who gives the impression that he’s doing you a favour comes to mind here. Also I can’t understand why Sullivan wasn’t prepared to go to £20m for Harwood Bellis yet was, allegedly, throwing £34m at a Brazilian centre back playing for Real Betis. Hmmm. Oh, I forgot, “We tried”.
