‘Distraught’ Kane could suffer on Saturday

|

West Ham will be hoping and praying there is no big announcement from north London that Jose Mourinho will be taking over at the club ahead of Saturday’s game.

All of us would surely sooner see a caretaker take over ahead of the game rather than watch a club that’s been in decline all season stirred up by such publicity.

Right now word is that Mourinho is edging towards the job and that an announcement could be made. Should that be the case no doubt  the Portuguese manager is likely to be in the stadium on Saturday.

And one Hammers insider told CandH: There will be a lot of players bitterly disappointed at the manager’s departure and Harry Kane will most definitely be one of them.

He has scored so many goals under Pochettino and has become a national star as a result – I would imagine the man will be distraught and it could be he won#t be the same player on Saturday.

He won’t be at all happy and there will be others like him so that could give us an edge although there will be one or two others who will be happy to have seen him gone.

That’s always the way of things in this game but the worst thing would be for there to be a blaze of Mourinho publicity with which to cope.”
