Still-owing transfer payment debts from previous windows are huge – £190 million being the total outstanding which, along with last season’s £105m losses, has already heralded the firing of the starting gun even though the summer transfer window marathon doesn’t open until 15th June.
Bracing themselves for offers for their top talent, West Ham supporters have been silently preparing for the likely departure of their top talent. Fernandes, Summerville, Bowen, Diouf and Castellanos might be expected departees, some ‘insiders’ claiming there’ll likely be double digit departures in an exodus not seen since 2003.
However few would have put Konstantinos Mavropanos at the front of the exit aisle.
Mavropanos – at the peak of his powers
According to thehardtackle.com the Bundesliga beckons for the Hammer of the Year who went through a transformational season in West Ham’s defence:

Much as West Ham fans might want Mavropanos to stay, the lure of European football is likely to be great for one who is, as the report suggests, right at the peak of his powers. West Ham will need to find £100 million – plus – from somewhere.. So it sounds as if the Hammer of the Year is likely to be one of the first out of the London Stadium door when next month’s silly season starts for real.
80 million for Fernandes ? Great player, but at that price there won’t be many buyers, the bargaining power is not on our side, most of them will have to go, but to get over 40 million for any of them would be very fortunate, many will be an awful lot less, there are so many good players, from good clubs that are half decent, West Ham are desperate and given their transfer history we all know this will not end well 🙏🏻
Did well at Stuttgart before losing his way here. But class has a way of showing through. German clubs, with their strong fan involvement and hence scrutiny, don’t throw money around the way a dilettante despot like Sullivan can. So what we paid for him bears little relevance to what we will get. Would be a real shame to see him go. Not reached his prime yet imo.
For a guy who has had about 20 good games in 3 years, I’d say take the money and be happy to get back close to what we paid. He was a calamity waiting to happen 6 months ago. His form dramatically improved once Disasi was signed, but I think thats as much credit to Disasi than anything.
Defence has been vulnerable for some time, time to start over.
We should at least get back what we paid for him.
Just because we have been relegated it should not mean the players are worth less.

Fernandes must be worth at least 80 million he is young and has had a fantastic season in a poor side, think what he could do in a top side. Don’t give him away, if they want him they need to pay our asking price. He is a gem and in his youth

What a mess the club are in with huge debts and an owner who does not recognise his incompetence nor the level of hatred there is from the fans.
It seems that Nuno will be sacked and we will carry on as before.
As I see it right now we should appoint a director of football to oversee the departure of a number of players and the recruitment of others. There is only one person who can do this whilst commanding the respect of the supporters. Time to promote Mark Noble to director of football and for Sully to accept that he needs to step back. If he doesn’t I really feel for the future of our club

Surely he can only go if we get a great offer. Dasai loan is up, Todibo will probably refuse to play for who comes next leaving Kilman as the likely defensive linchpin. I just hope that Kretinsky is currently getting a grip on things.
if Kilman is going to be our defensive lynchpine then we are going to be relegate dto Div 1 for the first time ever in the third tier. Kilman is so bad we should pay to have someone take him of our hands.
if you think we will get great offers for any of them you oviously haven’t experienced the Sulliavan school of football management. We will get knockdown prices. He will publically say we need the money, we can’t buy till we have sold and accept whatever offer is made. All good moves in the art of negotation (not) !!! So expect most of the first team to go many for less than we paid and much of the youngsters as they are almostall pure profit. But all will go for less than they are worth and what any other club would sell them for. Look forward to next season where the best we have are Ward-Prowse, Cornet, and Kilman.
But not at that price surely. Why would we sell for far less than we paid. I sincerely hope that the so-called ‘fire-sale’ will be handled by someone with a financial acumen which has been conspicuously absent from our illustrious, bungling board.

I think we all hope that but is very unlikely with our chairman, who’s transfer philosophy seems to be , buy high, sell low! How that despicable individual is a billionaire is beyond me
