Downes & Scamacca start

|

Flynn Downes and Gianluca Scamacca both start for West Ham against FCSB.

Hammers boss David Moyes has rotated heavily for the first game of the Europa Conference League.

As a result, a number of fringe players have been drafted into the starting XI for the clash with the Romanian outfit, while the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, and Mikey Antonio start the game on the bench, in case the emergency button has to be pressed.

Alphonse Areola takes over from Lukasz Fabianski in goal, while the back four is made up of Vlad Coufal, Thilo Kehrer, Angelo Ogbonna, and Emerson Palmieri.

Declan Rice is partnered by Downes in midfield, with Said Benrahma, Manuel Lanzini, and Maxwel Cornet providing support to Scamacca up top.

Full West Ham XI: Areola; Coufal, Kehrer, Ogbonna, Emerson; Rice, Downes; Benrahma, Lanzini, Cornet; Scamacca. Subs: Randolph, Hegyi, Zouma, Dawson, Clayton, Coventry, Potts, Lucas Paqueta, Fornals, Bowen, Antonio, Mubama.
