Day-long reports on Sam Allardyce’s uncertain Hammers future has sparked a flurry of activity among the nation’s bookies.
The 60 year old saw his odds cut from 25/1 to 6/1 as punters reacted to remarks from David Sullivan and stories that the club had started the hunt for his replacement.
By this evening Allardyce’s odds had dropped to 7/2 with one firm behind Gus Poyet (5/2) and Nigel Pearson (5/4).
The former Bolton boss’s odds were cut from 25-1 to 6-1 after punters reacted to comments made by Hammers co-owner David Sullivan.
This site has been reporting during the day that the Irons are ready to move Allardyce out at the end of the summer as the hunt for his replacement stretches across Europe.
The tidal wave of cash being wagered on his departure came when David Sullivan – asked if Allardyce had been offered a new four-year deal at Upton Park – snapped: “That is 100 per cent not true.
‘We won’t even look at it until either there are a few games left or when the season is over.’‘
Fortuntately I bet when BFS was 1000/1… I’ve always believed in him…
Matte was there too much vino when you wrote this??It’s been reported on KUMB already that David Gold has upset Allardyce over the short term signing of Nene.I can’t help but wonder what Allardyce has cost the owners when you ship out Zarate and then the owners have to replace him with Nene.
Hi roman probably I confused the share bets… I mean I’ve always hoped to see BFS out… I’m not a genius in math… 😉
Now on thesackrace.com is 4/1… yes, shipping out Zarate replacing him with Nene (1 month later) hasn’t been a smart move. Zarate is younger, not to mention the economic aspect…
Are there any odds on Allardyce apologising to Sullivan for putting him through the mob attack after his pathetic showing on Saturday?
