DS reveals how Payet ate alone and talked to nobody

sullivan_5535cDavid Sullivan has revealed how Dimi Payet cut himself off entirely from his West Ham team-mates as he began his pursuit of a move back to France.

Speaking to the BBC the co chairman said: “He didn’t talk to any of them for the last six to eight weeks. He would come in to the restaurant area and isolate himself in the corner and eat alone.

“When he finally made it clear he wouldn’t play for us he said that he would have a sore back if we tried to make him and the very next day he had a sore back!!!.”

Sullivan admits that he wasn’t entirely happy with the £25 million fee the club received for him saying: “Marseille came in at 20 million euros which is £18 million but when they reached what we thought we could just about accept we did so.

“It became a damage limitation deal. We thought about sitting him in the reserves until the summer but he could have put on weight and be unfit so not worth what we got for him now.

“It was just about enough for us to accept but it’s not a deal with which  I was particularly happy.”

  1. I never believed for one minute all this family reasons dog ****.Then when i saw this comment i just thought you slimey *******.
“I didn’t feel very good over there. I wanted to be part of this project that is just getting started. It came at a time when I missed France.”
Yeah convient timing to suddenly miss France when Marseille are tapping you up rat boy!
Worst thing is that there are still some of our fans believe his family sob stories..

  2. Your right mate he really is a slimeball and as a man has really let us down. But I feel you should direct your anger at him and his agent rather than having a pop at fellow fans that may have been deceived by the snake. I mean nobody thought it was this bad.

  3. Punchy mate i dont want to get into an arguement about the snake but these fans have been dishing out saintly advice to others who were angry with him.Telling them they are out of order for digging him out while backing up Payets family story without any basic facts to back it up.
Yeah i know it works both ways but they didnt need to start preaching about others manners or feelings towards Payet.Who the hell are they to tell others what they can or cant say about the man while looking down from their high horse.
And actually what i said is hardly going to get on crimewatch is it…”Worst thing is that there are still some of our fans believe his family sob stories..”…vicious stuff eh…

  4. He only ate alone because he didn’t want to share his bargain bucket. Snuffling into it like a pig after a truffle.

  5. Fair enough Pal. You have a point. Payet has done enough damage. Just wouldn’t want his poison spreading between the fans. But some people always like to take the higher ground ( in their view). No argument. C’mon you well shot of Payet Irons.

  6. Punchy trust me mate i find it very difficult to dislike ANY West Ham because they are brothers in arms.I even try to find the best in the ones i know are idiots where i live lmao.Even then i cut them some slack because they are Irons.
I was just a little bit bugged by the comments from some recently who knocked other fans who were basically just venting their anger.Everyone does it differently, its not for one to preach to another how they do it.
Its all good though,we are all Irons together when push comes to shove COYI

  7. Im really not an admirer of the poisoned dwarf, apoligisesi just cant get on with him but fair play i thought he talked well on the interview. It has made me realise that sometimes the chairmen are damned if they do damned if they dont. Some wanted them to explain their stance on Payet during the stand off,Some told them to keep their mouths shut.
Now since the transfer completion some wanted to know how they felt about it while others have accused Sullivan of already whining to the media. It really is a no win for them.
For me even with my luke warm feelings about him i thought he spoke well & thats all you can ask for.

  8. I expect radio/tv has been chasing all day for an interview.I would hardly call his interview a whinge.Love him or loathe him it wasnt a whinge

  9. H&P no it wasnt a whinge.Listen i cant get on with SuGo but i think the way a slice of our fans go at them these days is getting majorly lame.Putting every comment under the microscope to see if they can criticise it.Dragging out old comments they made months or years ago to dig them out. That aint for me,it takes it too far i think.
Everyone makes statements or comments weeks, months or years before that wont stack up at a later date,we have probably all done it.Some of that **** is plaground stuff..

  10. Who cares he’s gone 😀 Good riddance.

  11. When I hear the whingers whining elsewhere, I wonder first whether we really HAVE gained numbers of plastics. And maybe we have… but when nothing EVER pleases them, what they really remind me of is……… bloody Spurts fans!

Anyway, as has already been noted, we have seen the back of the incredible sulk. We DID have the best of him….. and we also had the best song and not the original version either!

  12. When you look back on Payet performances last season,it is easy to understand why almost everybody in WH comunity fall in love with him…but..as the song says..it’s a thin line between love and hate..pity he wasn’t man enough..
