Duffy’s future set to be resolved

Shane Duffy is set to move to Celtic.

The Daily Mail reports that the Scottish club are in pole position to snap up the Brighton defender, who has been heavily linked with a move away from the AMEX Stadium this summer.

Duffy has fallen out of favour under Graham Potter and is now set to seal an exit away from the club.

The report states that he will move to Neil Lennon’s side on a one-year loan deal, with Celtic and Brighton in continual negotiations.

They are said to be edging towards a successful conclusion, and the Scottish giants are set to beat both West Ham and West Brom to his signature.

Duffy is a boyhood Celtic fan, and that may have had a bearing on his decision over his future.

Brighton are said to want a £2m loan fee, while they are also expecting the loaning club to pay a large portion of the player’s wages.

It seems this saga is now nearing an end.

  1. So basically the team that we struggled with for the majority of the season apart from the last 6/7 games…let’s hope its good enough..i think we are the only team not to sign anyone.. even 1 player ..got the making of a mid table squad hopefully,,..but without any signings at all I think we will struggle once the injuries start ….very very risky
.especially once the window shuts …let’s hope it Dosnt cause the more protests if it goes wrong …not sure I understand, he wants to strengthen the defence but there havnt been any bids even for defenders. Looks like Duffy is of to celtic. Wich was one target like ezre was one …with the players that have been released we are far from having a big enough squad for the premier

  2. Losing out on a Brighton reserve
