Duran Snubs West Ham After Summer Humiliation

Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has no interest in joining West Ham as first reported earlier this morning on Hammers Chat Patreon.

The Midlands club were reportedly furious after the Hammers submitted a £57m bid including bonuses for the striker on the week of their Champions League fixture against Monaco, with some suggesting it unsettled the player.

However, it has been made clear to us that the Villains were not inconvenienced by the bid, as Duran has no interest in moving to West Ham.

In fact, the player himself is said to be furious with the Hammers after being left in the lurch last summer.

At the time, West Ham were close to signing the striker, with the two clubs only £3m apart in their valuations. Villa, Duran, and his representatives were so confident the deal would be finalised that the Colombian striker posted a crossed Hammers sign on his social media account, believing the move was imminent.

When the Hammers pulled out of the transfer deal, Duran was left with egg on his face, having to return to Bodymoor Heath to explain himself to his employers.

As a result, Duran has no interest in joining the Hammers, with the bonds of trust now broken.

Who cares about Duran ,stories of a stinking attitude, remember ravel morrison, stories of villa being incensed but then they weren’t really bothered ,it is transfer time after all. Bringing my grandson to watch Brentford ,really hope we just play well and hoping our fans who regularly shout the c word don’t do it that day. Maybe time for a family enclosure.

  • Zahama says:

We should all move on from Duran – he’s not gonna join us – let us look at players who already play for us or who might realistically join

I see that no one is now saying that we could have had Amorim as manager

Ten Hag swept all before him in the Netherlands when he was at Ajax

The best signing we could make is professionals in the boardroom that have a strategy for long term growth with low publicity.

  • The transfer predictor says:

Yuri Alberto signing incoming. Here’s a song to celebrate our new striker.
Yuri Alberto song to the old Payet tune of achy breaky heart

    We’ve got Alberto,
    He’s magic, through and through,
    He looks like Paquetá,
    And he’s Brazilian too!

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Not sure Alberto would cut it in the PL but at £20m probably another Sullivan punt to add to the dozens of failed ones in Brazil am not sure looking at Guilherme whether he might not be a Sully punt.

West Ham will be learning the definition of karma every time Duran scores over the next few years. And not for the first time!

  • Hammeroo says:

Maybe Sullivan can find an alternative to Jhon Duran in the local Poundland shop?

    • John simmonds says:

Mido is probably still knocking around. I’m sure the porno baron still has his number in hi rolodex

  • John Ayris says:

Why would he want to come here now ? He’d need to be deranged the choices he would have if he were to move.

A circus doesn’t begin to describe what we are, the whole Duran affair has been a complete disaster and it’s only typical of much that we do.

Debacle, farce, shambles, fiasco, crash and burn, calamity, you choose. That’s how we proceed and there’s no reason to think things will be any different.

  • D says:

Nothing to do with PSG, Chelsea, Barcelona all chasing him then for potentially 100 million euros? If he’d come to us we’d have had him for one season maybe before the big boys came calling?

  • Mick Bering says:

Imn afraid the biggest bond and trust which is broken is between the board and us fans oh sorry us paying customers

  • Whippet hammer says:

That’s guaranteed a hat-trick against us on Sunday then.

Thanks to the midget moron chairman…. Perfect timing ffs….. what an utter embarrassment the bloke is to all West Ham fans🙄😡

  • Mike says:

And who can blame him? Although making a crossed hammers sign on a live stream on social media before the deal was confirmed probably wasn’t the wisest thing to do.

  • Keith says:

This is only a way of kidding West Ham fans that they are going to buy anyone much. at best. The one coming if anyone does will be cheap and a fill in. Why the hell don’t we convert Mavropanos to a centre forward and save the cash and bring in Casey as Centre Back.

  • Annette Markham says:

yet something else to thank Stindeten for HE went for Fulkgrek instead So now nobody trusts us

  • John Lattimore says:

The entire Duran episode has been a debacle from start to finish with the club’s credibility severely tarnished.
