Jean-Clair Todibo wants to stay at West Ham and Graham Potter sees him as important player in his squad this season.

The Hammers recently paid out €40m (£34.6m) to OGC Nice at the beginning of this month as they will be obligated to do so after activating an obligation to buy by the defender making five appearances and West Ham not being relegated from the Premier League.

There have been rumours that West Ham could flip Todibo if they sell him for what they paid Nice and equally reports suggested the French defender was seeking a move.

Both these suggests have been shot down with a source close the player insisting the player is happy and wants to fight for his first team place this season and that he remains firmly within Graham Potter’s plan for this season.

This follows news that Nayef Aguerd is almost guaranteed to stay after changing his squad number and many are betting on a Todibo/Aguerd partnership in the centre of defence as the strongest partnership pair.

Hope aguerd can up his game and if Todibo knuckles down who knows…. it could be great.

We’;ll have 2 wait and see i suppose

Back row looks like Killman / Todibo / Aguerd where does that leave Mavro?
Mavro has interest and should move on.
Koni de Winter in a deal incorporating Cornet looks inviting.
Cutting it to the bone goalkeeper / Mid player / Attack player / Striker needed.
Pre season yes, but moving Guilherme from pillar to post will never get best out of him his ideal position is mid attack.

Todibo still looks lightweight and lacking the fitness levels to be a success in the Premier League

The Hammers recently paid out €40m (£34.6m) to OGC Nice at the beginning of this month? Really? There were no installments in this deal, it was a single bullet payment? If the full amoint was made in one payment obviously that would have a huge impact on our transfer budget – sure it wasn’t the first of say eight half yearly payments of 5 million?

Sadly I don’t see the two of them being great together, one is staying as no one wants to buy him, the other rarely finishes a game. Both can be quality players but neither are consistent enough at the top level.
We need to bin Dinos, who again can look good but is to often at fault with mistakes that have cost us a number of points last season. I think Kilman and Todibo is our best pairing in the centre, if he plays a three at the back (which he will) Aguerd on the left, Kilman centre and Todibo right. Dinos, Casey as backup.
Don’t hold out much hope for this season unless we can sign Gordon Banks from beyond the grave, Sir Trevor comes back at his very best along with Paolo and TC

dinos has the most potential out of all of them, he has an issue which needs to be ironed out, if he does he’d be the best of the lot

and tbf we are playing with a back 3, we’ve investing in wingbacks beacause they’ll provide all the width in this team

we might see a back four every now and then but it’s going to be the exception rather than the rule
