James Tomkins has been included in Sam Allardyce’s squad for today’s clash.

Suggestion in the national press earlier in the week that the manager would not include the central defender have proved false.

ClaretandHugh was told this morning: “James has been included in our 20 man squad and could well be named to start.

Captain Kevin Nolan is also in the squad and as ClaretandHugh suggested yesterday (Sat) looks likely to get the nod for a starting place.

Our source said: “Nolan is in the squad and will probably start although nothing is certain until the team sheet appears!”
