George Earthy couldn’t have been happier following his goal for West Ham against Luton yesterday. The Hammers’ academy graduate was briefly interviewed by the club’s in-house media team right after the game and was visibly buzzing after his excellent finish.

Earthy’s goal received the loudest cheer of the day at the London Stadium, rounding off a superb play after great work from Vladimir Coufal and Mohammed Kudus.

Asked how he felt, Earthy said, “It was literally a dream—that’s what you dream of your whole life. I’m a West Ham fan. I can’t describe it; I can’t put it into words.” At that point, Kaelan Casey, who also got a few minutes as a substitute for Angelo Ogbonna, joined his friend and added, “Yeah, it wasn’t bad, was it?”

Both were thrilled to have made their mark, highlighting the morale boost that comes when academy players are given their chance.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

More West Ham moaning is done on a daily basis here 👇👇

These lads developing over the last few years winning the youth cup etc are part of the best crop of youngsters we’ve had since Joe Cole’s day probably. Great that they’re finally getting to an age where we can start using them. If they’re good enough I’ve no doubt theyll make the breakthrough into the first team. Lopetegui is a lucky man to inherit these lads.

Seeing one of our own hit the back of the net, Priceless. Hope we see more of this young man. He’s a hammer to the core.

A nice parting gift from Mr Moyes, allowing a couple of academy graduates to have their day and shine!
