Deja vu from December: Back at the end of Lopetegui’s terrible tenure, amongst the shortlisted coaches for the Hammers job was Slaven Bilic’s assistant at West Ham. A Steidten favourite, Terzic came highly recommended by just about everyone except Niclas Fullkrug who, it is fair to say, doesn’t see eye to eye with the former Dortmund coach.

Now back on the agenda thanks to reports from sites like footballfancast.com, Terzic had a pretty stellar career with Dortmund leading them to the Champions League final the year after losing the title race in Germany on goal difference.as their article today puts it:”

The coach the Hammers should bring back to the London Stadium is Edin Terzić. Yes, while the 42-year-old has never been the East Londoners’ manager, he was the assistant to Slaven Bilić during the Croatian’s time at the helm between 2015 and 2017, a period in which the club notched up some impressive wins against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.”

The advantage which the German – Croatian coach does have is that he’s worked at the London Stadium before as Slaven Bilic’s assistant: Therefore he is well used to the challenges of the stadium, the expectations of the West Ham supporter base and shall we say the ‘unique’ challenges of working with David Sullivan and Karen Brady. Quite probably he’d be the best suited to working with David Sullivan, should he decide now is the time to re-enter management.

His career win record as a manager was something West Ham can only dream of: 75 wins in 128 games. Still young. Out of work since June 2024. At this stage, Terzic is just a name thrown around in reports but – who knows. One who could  have a dramatic impact on the club but certainly not a safe option.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

The problem and its always been the problem is Sullivan.
No manager worth his salt will want to work under someone who’s picking the players to buy for him,let the Manager be a Manager.
Im surprised Sullivan hasnt lined up Will Salthouse for the Managers job.
This club is toxic though and I genuinely believe we are going down this season.
Years of bad ownership will catch up with us thus season.

I think looking at the under 21’s tonight it is time we gave Fearon and Marshall a chance.
2 goals each, must be worth a place on the bench????!
