Edson Alvarez Representatives Respond To Transfer Speculation

Edson Álvarez is nowhere near deciding his future for next season.

That is the latest from his English representative, who spoke exclusively to Claret & Hugh late last night.

Alvarez was linked with a summer move back to Ajax in the Dutch press and when C&H approached one of his team to discuss the speculation, the response was blunt.

“We’ve heard nothing about it.”

Alvarez moved to Fenerbahçe on loan from West Ham in the summer after becoming surplus to requirements under former boss Graham Potter.

So when we asked the agent representing him whether he was likely to return to East London or move to Holland, it became very clear that absolutely nothing has been decided.

Alvarez Injury Problems Continue

Speaking last night, Alvarez’s representative said:

“Noboddy can buy him at the moment. He’s been injured nearly all season.

“He came off the bench for 3 minutes at the start of the month and now he’s got injured again.

“He needs to play some more or he needs another loan.

“There have been no transfer talks.”

No Firm Interest Yet In Alvarez

The source is the same one who previously provided Claret & Hugh with information when we first broke the story of Alvarez chartering a private jet to fly to Turkey last summer.

Personally, I believe him when he says there is currently no firm interest in the player.

We don’t need injury prone overpaid players that have no engine or ability to get up and down the pitch and dominate the opposition. We need to get rid to the highest bidder and put some legs in our engine room to compete properly next season. COYI
