There have been some great performances from a number of players over the stat of the new season so who thus far would be the Hammers of the season.
I would put Jarrod right up there of course, along with Lucas Paqueta, James Ward Prowse, Edson Alvarez and Kurt Zouma.
Jarrod has signed that new seven year deal of course and has already scored five goals in eight Premier League games.
Paqueta has looked different class every time he has been on the pitch and so far has scored just one but has set up some amazing assist and been the most creative player in the team.
Ward Prowse has two goals and six assists from those amazing set pieces whilst the captain has been excellent at the back and new boy Alvarez very good too despite picking up four yellow cards in the Premier League and one in Europe.
It’s a photo finish for me between the first three and as near impossible to select the winner as one can get.
However, goals win games and Jarrod has set up an away goals record for the club which has stood since the 1930s.
So for me he just about gets the vote!
Mathematics may not be my strongest subject, but haven’t West Ham played 10 games (7 Prem, 2 Europe, 1 Cup)?
Tough call indeed, 4 strong candidates (And special mentions for Soucek and Emerson, both integral so far.), if I had to choose one: JWP
Lovely problem!! I choose Ward-Prowse because we are now creating chances with our style which is making a big difference to everyone else.
