.
Following on from a piece on CandH by Gonzo yesterday, there is now more news on the proposed Hugo Ekitike signing.
Tim Steidten has been racking up the air miles again as FootMercarto has now reported him meeting the Paris Saint-Germain director of football Luis Campos yesterday, about the potential signing of Hugo Ekitike.

Eiteke receptive to Irons move
It also appears that Ekitike is said to be receptive to the move to the London Stadium as David Moyes looks to replace the now departed Gianluca Scamacca.
FootMercarto go on to say:
“According to our information, a meeting took place between Luis Campos and the technical director of West Ham, Tim Steidten about the number 44 of PSG, author of 3 goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances last year,” they wrote.
“A frank and very constructive discussion according to our information. The Hammers, who are looking for a striker, have the capacity to align themselves with the salary claims of the former Rémois but also with the amount of the transfer claimed by the club from the capital.
“In parallel with this discussion, the English club presented its game plan for Hugo Ekitike to the player’s representatives who were very receptive to West Ham’s speech. To be continued.”
Timing is right to entice receptive Ekitike
Ekitike has been a long time transfer target for a goodly while, indeed we tried to sign him last summer but he ended up going to PSG instead.
He has not had the happiest of times at the French club, struggling for game time.
Well who wouldn’t? What with the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi in the side !
As yet there is no information on a proposed fee. However it is likely to be in the region of £30m, or one of those loan to buy arrangement.
Get and get him Mr Steidten.
These are not Steinden signibgs, all these players have been linked to us beforr he arrived..
Any news on new coaches ?
We have to congratulate our new technical Director who seems to be doing all the work.
