Emenike and Fletcher – the fans react

Emmanuele Emenike is going through the second part of his Hammers medical but the club can’t confirm at this stage a deal will be done.

Complications continue between him switching to the Irons having been on loan at Al Ain from his parent club Fenerbache.

Meanwhile the club has confirmed they are looking at Sunderland’s Steven Fletcher if the move breaks down – here’s how the ClaretandHugh FB members have responded.

EmenikeO Worried we have all our eggs in one basket. But we must trust in the board and slav

O Even if we got this guy I hope Slav does not mess with Valencia while his is on good form
O I think Valencia has just got his confidence now so I would not mess with him. Even when Sak and Carroll are back use them as subs they will need short game time subbing to get back to match fitness
I don’t think this is a panic buy but going on how unlucky we’ve be regarding strikers this season we need to have back up. Just think how much higher up the league we could have been with a fully fit team this season ?

O These ‘complicated deals’ tend to end in WHUFC paying fines! 😕
O Maybe they just want more money?
O To be fair. I’d rather him than Jelavic. The geezers useless. I’d rather Marlon Harewood or Yaniv Katan than Jelavic though…
….an on FletcherStevenF
O An injury prone striker just what we need

O Might as well got Adebayor
O A few years ago, maybe.

It feels like a return to the usual January dark days Dean. If they aren’t gonna improve us ….why?

Please God, no!
O Yes a few years ago he had form. As a sub, covering absent first team choices, it may work.
