Emenike medical…but no deal yet

EmenikeLoan target Emmanuel Emenike has been involved in a day long medical as the Irons medical staff take a close look at the striker’s fitness but a deal to bring him to the Boleyn still ism’t in place.

Emenike arrived in London – as tweeted by chairman David Sullivan’s son Jack – earlier in the day but although he is undergoing a medical, ClaretandHugh has been told the deal is still not locked down.

We understand that although the player has accepted a personal package, there remain issues in sorting out things with Fenerbache.

We were told by our high level source:  “We’ll see how fit he is but as things stand we appear to be drifting in the right direction.

“There is a medical going on. We need to get that done as we are running out of time particularly as the deal is still not 100 per cent.

“There is an option to buy if we get things pushed through but it’s far too early to decide on whether we would take that up.”

  1. Hi, been reading this site for some time now and found it excellent for keeping up to date and getting reliable info from Oz.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t we only allowed 4 loan players, which we already have?

    • Hi Russ from Oz.I’m from Oz as well. Can’t answer your question so I will leave it to the experts on this site.I think in the case of Emenike it’s probably more trouble than it’s worth in the end.Time will tell.Cheerz.

  2. Not from oz and don’t know but asked the same question a week ago and no one answered
But I thought we were allowed so many home players and so many abroad and we had are quota, but was that the last window ?
If anyone knows out there I would like to know plus how could he be in the team for Saturday’s match if we need a work permit even if he is signed by midday Friday?

  3. Hello oz , I think its 2 English loans and as many loans from abroad , ?

  4. Can someone tell the Tory bull s#1££er that we don’t want Tory lies on a football forum !
We were signing players from abroad long before we went into the common market ,
So but out Brady don’t use Tory lies to appease the corporate elite who Cameron and his little puppets work for ! Scum !!!!!

  5. Thanks John
Looks like we are still looking for another tall striker IE Fletcher as well so can Jelly leave to go to China after the 1st February or outs finish at the same time ?
But we might want Jelly for this week even if it’s on the bench,

  6. Not sure on that one bubs ? It may be that if a deal is in place before deadline and a medical or paperwork needs to be completed after deadline , I think its allowed ? Personally I would prefer no windows and you play with the squad you have for that season , teams like the spuds play mind games and do players heads in !! Remember kouyate last term ?? That was in Jan I think .
