So Emanuelle Emenike has arrived at West Ham from Fenerbahce after a loan spell with Al Ain.
He’s seen as a replacement for Nikica Jelavic who is bound for China before the end of February.
As only the club’s second January signing his arrival has perhaps provoked more discussion than it might have done in other circumstances.

O He is big strong and fast and with Antonio, and players passing we could be unstoppableO I don’t get it. We’re hardly in trouble and if the others stay fit will he play?
O From what I have seen he seems decent and if Sakho is still carrying an injury he will not be fully fit and I don’t like the way we play with Andy up top so I would have him as an impact sub.
O Mmmm … not amazing stats according to West Ham FC’s official Twitter page. 12 goals in his debut season in the Turkish Super League. Hope he achieve the same figures in the three months he’s with us – as I don’t think he’ll be playing at the OS next season! I hope I am wrong though … he may be amazing!
O I think he will get more time than most anticipate. I don’t see Carroll staying healthy. This guy might be a third striker…coming in second half, and used to give Sakho and Valencia a break.O He is a Hammer, at least for a few months, so we get behind him, cheer for him as we do the rest of them.
O Isn’t it great that we can disagree about an unimportant loan signing in January rather than all being tearful that one of our best has been shipped off to Everton/Spurs. Emenike is back up, no more. The chance to sign him doesn’t mean we will.
The only way to pass judgement is to see him play ! I hope he is a monster lol, let’s just welcome the guy and give him a chance’ as all ready said , he’s a hammer short term or not !

Point number 2 sums it up. If they stat fit. Sakho will fantastic is fast turning into a sick note.
Last year we missed all out targets, you cant have enough strikers. This could be the difference between decent season and fantastic.
We should all be upbeat,why knock someone before he kicks a ball does no one remember how Randolf was treated a few months back,
He won a golden boot in a competition where the forwards are great,he has more European football behind him then most of our squad put togeather,Slav knows all about him and wanted him

If Bilic didn’t think this guy could cut the mustard, he wouldn’t be here. Emenike has been given the chance he has been wanting in the Premier League. He has ability & Bilic knows that. Up to Emenike now to show us what he can do.
No he is not a replacement for jelavic he is a replacement for Zarate.
