Emery remains in Spain

This evening West Ham Managerial candidate Unai Emery posted a picture of himself watching his son, Lander playing football in Spain. The photo posted on Unai Emery’s official twitter account seems to disprove an earlier suggestion that Emery was already in London ย and was due to have talks with David Sullivan and David Gold on Wednesday. Other reports suggest the meeting is later this week and Emery may still yet travel to London.

  1. Impossible. Hugh said he was at sully’s mansion.

  2. How do we know the photo wasn’t taken last week? Could be a deliberate attempt to confuse.

  3. No Matt ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hugh reported that Sky reported that he was due to meet at DS’s mansion within the next 48 hours. He could still jump on a plane tomorrow.

  4. Haha,Matt only comes on here to dismiss things or take a swipe. Its how he gets his jollies, lol, each to their own as they say.Personally i couldnt be bothered to go on a site just to have a pop ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. He wont join us with such a small transfer budget, I don’t understand why the Davids won’t splash the cash this season & next season seeing as they are so important.. its a false economy like not sacking Sam earlier.. Sacking Sam would have meant paying up his contract but we prob ended up losing more than that as we tumbled down the table.

Just give the guy a big salary & a bumper war chest for the next 2 seasons, this will move us right up the table (bringing more financial rewards) it will help fill the stadium & make us fans happy ๐Ÿ™‚

In the end the Davids asset (WHUFC) will be more valuable if they took that business plan than the current one & if they dont increase the transfer budget we will end up without a top draw manager

Anyone is an improvement on Fatty but I really want to aim high.. thats how the Davids sold this OS move to us , We will be aiming for top 6 and above is what they constantly said. We are not offering a top 6 transfer budget so we will not get a top 6 manager

Come on Davids pull all the stops out on this one please ๐Ÿ™‚ I have faith in you

  6. Unai is the last attempt at the tier one managers. Anyone after that is strictly tier 2 and a big risk and a gamble. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

  7. Biesla and Bilic are second tier ?
And what’s the gamble,we might not win ant trophies,we might finish 10,
Or is the gamble we might entertain people playing exciting football and not get relegated
Surely it’s a win win situation
Fishes fir christs sake stop being so depressing

  8. We were always more likely to get Dick Emery than Unai. Bielsa has signed a two year extension at Marseille, thanks god we didn’t get Benitez or Moyes(yet), should have just gone with Bilic from the start, most West Ham fans would be happy to see him back at the club, he won’t need to waste a load of time settling in like the other managers, he knows the history of the club and what the fans want, stop p1ssing about David’s and hire the man.

  9. OK lets be realistic here. We are going to get Billic. End of.

Nearly had Rafa but that was it. Billic will be better than Sam and cheaper giving us more funds for players. And he can hit the ground running for our Euro campaign,
