Endrick Felipe Moreira is not a name many West Ham fans will be familiar with. In a nutshell, he is one of Real Madrid’s biggest rising stars, an 18 year old Brazilian striker of whom so much is expected.
However, with such a talented line up ahead of him in the queue for places in the starting eleven, ‘Endrick’ as he is known has failed to kick on and is frustrated at the lack of game time he’s getting at Spain’s biggest football club.
Reported at the week end in fichajes.net and covered by a host of outlets in the last 24 hours, and by gonzo today in claretandhugh’s article, it does seem that there is a genuine opportunity for the teenager to land-albeit temporarily – at London Stadium.
Graham Potter’s highly publicised ‘youth revolution’ has got the Hammers noticed and, as per the report: “West Ham United has shown a strong interest in the transfer [loan – MT] of Endrick. Under the direction of Graham Potter, the English club looks favorably on the incorporation of the young striker, trusting that his adaptation to the Premier League could be positive”.
“In the coming months, it is expected that Endrick’s future will be defined, since a loan seems to be the best option for the player to continue growing and, eventually, return to Real Madrid with more experience and ready to face the great challenges of European football.”
Much will depend on the second half of West Ham’s season – the success of loanee Evan Ferguson, as an example which Real Madrid could follow with Endrick – might be pivotal in securing the teenage prodigy’s talent at West Ham in the summer.
Call it a continuation of the ‘Scarles effect’ – all sorts of young talent will be pulled towards West Ham if Graham Potter’s youth revolution continues to succeed: Clearly with all of the publicity being given to Ollie Scarles’ success and Evan Ferguson’s loan, with other talent close to joining the first team – Guilherme, Kasey, Ajala and Orford all being close to the starting eleven now, opinions of West Ham are being revised by many who had an opinion that youth couldn’t prosper in east London.
Fiorentina and Olympic Lyonnais are other clubs mentioned as destinations for the young striker to get much needed experience but as West Ham reinvent themselves as a team who promote and develop youth, I wouldn’t write this one off.
These constant knives in the back of David Moyes really needs to stop! I agree, it was time fior change and some of the things Moysie did irritated the life outta me but too many Hammers forget what he did for us, the great European nights, our first silverware in decades etc etc…… David was treated poorly behind the scenes but the man has been nothing but graceful ever since & now he’s turning Everton around and has them playing with real confidence. Credit where credit is due ☘️⚒️
Loving the Potter revolution, including integrating the young academy boys slowly and playing decent football. He certainly has improved the mood, and how we needed to clear out the dinosaur thinking of Moyes and then Lope, only signing old players both of them. No you can’t fill the team with kids in the Premier, but you can introduce a few alongside the seniors. All the top clubs do it, and at last that includes us.
Vote for Guilherme to be given some substantial playing time is overwhelming.
Guilherme is hardly likely to give whu 5 star rating after promises he was given.
With a transfer fee of £62m he is definitely on non-achievable list.
Only chance would possibly be a loan.
He could join his mate Guilherme on subs bench.
Cummings looks like joining but only if he plays first team which he’s been promised.
Really good at making promises, promises but keeping them is a problem.
Unfortunately it relates to a number of situations.
Seriously Martin “has failed to kick on”? He joined one of the biggest clubs in the world when he turned 18 last July in the biggest sale in Brazilian football history:-
▫️ €35m fixed fee, €25m add-ons.
▫️ €12m extra money in taxes.
▫️ Contract 2027 up to 2030.
Since joining in July he has 15 appearances in La Liga totalling 100 minutes, 6 appearances in the Champions League for a total of 103 minutes plus international appearances for Brazil. With team mates including Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jnr he is hardly going to get picked ahead of them, but he’s only been there 7 months and with Carlo Ancellotti as Manager he has a big future. Learning from Jude Bellingham and representing a team that absolutely destroyed Man City 6-3 in the Champions League, do you honestly think he wouldn’t talk to his former team mate Luis Guilherme about the 58 minutes he’s been given, and then still want to come here?
PAUL if your proposal was what the TREASURE was also proposing l would fully agree ,but he was talking about Endrick returning to Real Madrid after a specified loan spell , without any ties . what does this do for the younger academy kids , for example .
in my view it questions the whole ethos of what W.H. is supposed to be. A deep rooted club or simply a trading centre.

You must live under a rock if you don’t know who he is… he scored against England… click bait crap he’s not going to be coming
Since Scarles’ excellent performance against Arsenal, it seems all the talk is suddenly about drafting young talent into the West Ham first team and attracting top young talent from around the world. Just remember that the pendulum can swing too far the other way and as with any job, the right mix of youth and experience is essential. These 18 year olds are not going to learn much from each other, but will learn a ton from the likes of Bowen, Paqueta, Wan-Bissaka and Kilman, and keeping the likes of Cresswell around as a mentor can’t do any harm either.
Totally agree, Ray.
Alan Hansen once famously said, “you win nothing with kids”. Utd want on to win the League, he was a laughing stock. But in truth, he was right. While that Utd team had a handful of kids, they were interspersed with a backbone of vastly experienced pros. Need to get the balance right
Endrick and Jonathan David up front 🤣
Do you think his mate Guilherme will be telling him great things about the club. Not going to happen is it?
Completely agree. Luis Guilherme has only been given 58 minutes on the pitch since joining 7 months ago yet was criticised on here and talk of him being sold. How on earth can any player show their full potential and gain valuable first team minutes if he is only given 3 minutes or kept on the bench? He’s reported as really impressing the coaching staff and Potter in training, so I can only hope he is given more opportunities and meaningful game time starting against Leicester tomorrow night.
how can true spirit , loyalty, etc. etc. be built if you encourage the revolving door loanee system . I can’t believe that this is POTTER’S brainwave. just think for one moment the damage it can cause!
HI IAN, I THINK ITS NOT A BAD POLICY, TRY, BEFORE YOU BUY, BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, IF THE OPTION TO BUY IS INCLUDED.
IF NOT INCLUDED, THEN I AGREE WITH YOU.
Wont happen…his image rights people do not think it is a good move for him and that tanked a supposed move in January because of all the crap with Loppy that was going on..will there minds change with Potter in charge mmm not so sure
