You will be forgiven for having missed the news of some young Hammers being called up the the Under 19 England Squad. With the most dramatic transfer window in some years involving West Ham players’ comings, goings, and refusals to budge, the news of Academy players being called up from West Ham would have been less exciting but important nonetheless – so I saved it for you to digest this morning.
Emerging starlets Lewis Orford and Goalkeeper Fin Herrick have both been called up for the games in Croatia, against Italy, Germany and Croatia themselves.
It is a great step up on their promising careers and testimony to their development with West Ham United.
We congratulate them and wish them well for the forthcoming Under 19 games which take place in September:
