Eto’o Hammers update

Eto'oReports that Samuel Eto’o could be on his way to West Ham United remain a fair way wide of the mark.
Eto’o has been seriously considered by the club but there is no way they can fit his massive demands into their pay policy.
And there is a serious worry about his precise age given the demands that have been put on the table during talks.
The player wants between £85k-£100k and that is far too rich for the Irons blood given all the circumstances.
A very well placed Hammers source told Claretandhugh exclusively: “The club have certainly looked at Eto’o but he wants massive money – from £85k upwards.
“If he was talking £40k a week and £40k a start the club may be thinking seriously but at the moment  there’s no sign of a deal.”

    £85k upwards for a player over 30? He ain’t that good – what are the cheaper alternatives? Crouch? Almeida?
