Euro clubs and players snooker Hammers loan hopes

West Ham are struggling to find either loan players or permanent signings in the January window because of their lowly league position.

The loan terms they are being asked to agree are simply not acceptable with one European outfit wanting them to agree to a permanent end of  season midfielder deal should they remain in the Premier League OR NOT!

Having been forced to restrict the appearances in a clause within striker Simone Zaza’s loan deal to avoid paying a £25 million fee permanent fee in the 2016-17 season, the Hammers are determined not to get involved in any lock down clauses.

And according to an agent who is trying to find a midfielder to fit the Hammers bill this time around the Hammers are caught between a rock and a hard place as they bid to do deals.

He told CandH on the ‘phone: “One Italian club wanted West Ham to agree to take a player permanently at the end of a loan arrangement which, given the fee and salary involved was impossible given the  Hammers could be in the Championship.

“Two others players have already said no as they don’t see their futures being enhanced by a near half season-long relegation battle at the London Stadium.”

  1. Get players in from the championship then. If we go down they will be ready

  2. Don’t mean to be rude but all we ever hear are the points or reasons or if you like excuses come out as to why we cant buy or loan anyone…either money to much or player Dosnt want to come or agent’s fees or whatever but there is always something as to why we cant…its always cant and let’s remember this is always our side of the story we never hear anything from the other side ..so how can the board expect the fans just to take there word on why we cant buy or why we wont buy ..it just all seems wrong ..its like they want to get strung out to dry..be nice to hear yes we can for a change

  3. Are we surprised, if they had sacked MP at least 4 weeks before they did and had a plan of players we needed for 3 YEARS in certain positions and brought them in at start of the window when we were in a more healthy position but no as always they wait and wait until we slip down further and now look a good bet to get relegated nobody wants to come totally inept at running a football club ,make me sick 😡😡😡

  4. Should have invested properly in the summer then shouldn’t we. Same rubbish differnt season with the board.

They need to take the risk and bring in players even with an automatic purchase clause. They may get stung but it’s a risk they should take as they haven’t done enough in the summer.

  5. Funny how Norwich, Watford and Villa can make signings despite their ‘lowly’ position though, isn’t it? Almost as if this is another case of spin, and the board don’t want to cough any money up…

  6. Should of thought about this in the summer when nett spend if 20 million

Laughable if we go down the fans will tear that stadium apart

  7. Eight days to go and counting!

  8. Need to look @ the best of the Championship! We ignored the likes of Adama Traore and James Maddison, who were far cheaper than Yarmelenko, Anderson, etc!!

  9. It’s hard to say this, but Spuds have been and still are streets ahead of West Ham since Alan Sugar (same mentality as our owners every Penny’s accountable) sold to billionaire Joe Lewis and he in turn appointed Daniel Levy (the equivalent to Lady Brady) the rest is spud history ? Spuds fans( the ones I know anyway) still moan (it’s in their DNA like ours) but the point of my blog is Lord Sugar knew that with Spuds and being a successful business man , does not always make you a success as a football club owner. I remember on TV he could not believe what players earned and how much they cost??? (sounds familiar?) Look you can’t be in the top 20 richest clubs in the world and plead poverty in transfer dealings it don’t add up with most supporters? Is it in the fact that are we rich on paper but not in reality ?? If so, are we being blinded by big club mentality with not so big money owners? The copying of the Arsenal ground (with past achievements round the ground???) And the flag waving by stewards ( very Lady Brady as a big Arsenal supporter copying there) is not what supporters want? They want a team that’s worth their hard earned cash to be proud of and face the spuds supporters or for that, any other clubs supporters when they go back to work, after the weekend’s match and give as good as they get, and not what we are getting, and that’s feeling short changed And being mugged off with the transfer window dealings, or not, as the case maybe ? And I am not one of the people that attends the protest meeting’s more a protest blogger at what is happening to my life long club

  10. The lack of long term planning catches up with any club sooner or later.

  11. It’s a seller’s (or loaner’s) market. Why are the board surprised that other clubs have us over a barrel? Our activity (or lack of it) in the remainder of the window will give a clear indication of how serious G & S are about trying to avoid relegation. Just pay what it takes!
