As if there weren’t enough problems in reshaping a relegated side, Nuno Espírito Santo has to deal with the demands of those in his squad who, whilst handsomely paid, have no desire to turn out for the Hammers again and in fact are doing their utmost to force an exit.
Top of those is undoubtedly Jean Clair Todibo.
The defender – who allegedly could start a fight in an empty room, after managing to fall out with three successive West Ham managers – decreed he’d not play for Nuno again after being subbed against Newcastle United last season.

Time to go: For both player and club, an exit for Todibo will come as a blessed relief.
So much promise, so little delivered for the former Barcelona defender. I’m sure Nuno is as desperate to see the back of Todibo as the defender is to quit West Ham. Fans too will have lost patience with the centre back who has something of the prima donna about him: Now West Ham have to find an exit route to get him off the books for as much of the £34million they splashed as possible.
A resolution may be at hand: Football-italia.net claim :
‘La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Milan’s Fikayo Tomori and West Ham’s Jean-Clair Todibo are among Juventus’ potential targets in defence if Gleison Bremer accepts an offer from Galatasaray, who have already proposed the defender an €8m-a-year salary.”
Which would come as a blessed relief to both club and player. Quite why Juve would see Todibo as an ideal replacement after his antics at West Ham – who knows or cares. Keep everything crossed that the Frenchman gets his way and West Ham get on and find a replacement.
£25m for Todibo buys Tomori or Disarsi.
Yes it does but neither reportedly want to play in the Championship.
A shame really as there is definitely a really good player in there & let’s be honest all three managers have their own issues shall we say. Not difficult to see how it’s happened 🤷♂️
