Euro rivals getting battered every week, lost 19-0!

Astra Giurgiu is probably a name that sends shivers down your spine as a Hammer.

The Irons were knocked out of the Europa League qualification phase two years on the bounce by the Romanian club.

The last defeat came back in 2016, when Slaven Bilic’s side were humbled 1-0 at the London Stadium, consigning them to a 2-1 aggregate defeat.

It is a wound that has only recently started to heal but Irons fans will be delighted to know that Astra are beginning to struggle!

They are currently rock-bottom of the Romanian league and have a horror record thus far this season.

Their last game will have caught the eye as they were beaten 19-0 by Tunari.

But in five games, they have also lost 3-0 twice, 6-0 once, 10-0 once, and 13-0.

That is quite staggering when you think about it; Astra are currently in financial disarray and most of their best players from that Europa run are gone.

And we thought it was bad at West Ham!
