Europa Conference League opponents struggling

|

Anderlecht are in poor form ahead of their clash with the Hammers this week.

The two sides will meet in Belgium on Thursday evening as the Irons attempt to build on their opening two wins in the Europa Conference League.

Anderlecht are a historically huge club but they have been struggling this season and currently find themselves 10th in the Belgian Pro League.

They have won just one of their last five games and they were beaten again at the weekend.

On Sunday, they were beaten 1-0 by Charleroi, who jumped above them into eighth.

They are unbeaten in the Conference League, though, and beat Silkeborg 2-1 in their opening game before drawing 0-0 with FCSB.

The Hammers, of course, beat Wolves at the weekend and have beaten both Silkeborg and FCSB, so will be aiming to make it nine points from a possible nine against the out of sorts Belgian side.

Wouldn’t it be nice to win two in a row?!
