Europa League match with FC Lusitans reversed

logo7_1_smallYesterday West Ham was drawn away against FC Lusitans of Andorra in the first led of the first qualifying round of the Europa League but that schedule is about to change.

UEFA have given permission to reverse the fixtures after fellow Andorran team UE Sant Julia were also drawn at home.

A lack of UEFA category 2 stadiums in the small European microstate means that West Ham will now play at home at the Boleyn Ground on Thursday 2nd July with the away trip in Andorra now moved to Thursday 9th July.

Chairman David Gold confirmed the news  saying “We have just told by UEFA that our tie against FC Lusitans has been reversed and we will now be at HOME in the 1st Leg. dg”

  1. Slav’s first game in charge going to be at BG, even though it’s against part-timers the ground will be pretty much full. There are only two grounds in the country that are up to basic UEFA standard. I think the 2nd leg could be moved to Spain/France?

  2. Last i saw they were going to maybe move it to the national stadium in Andorra.A huge ground with about 3.5k capacity 😉

  3. With a country that is so small, how many teams are there in their league??

  4. Theres Eight teams.You never heard of Google?,lol 😀

  5. Being lazy 😉 i knew someone would have the stats on every thing lol

  6. Have been told that Barcelona is the nearest International Airport to Andorra, but upon checking, Toulouse in France is much nearer and the air fares cheaper
    Andorra – Barcelona 197 km
    Andorra – Toulouse 122 km

Thing is are we actually going to play in Andorra or is it being moved elsewhere.
