Everton interest in forward

The Daily Mail claim that Everton have added the West Ham forward Maxwel Cornet to their list of late transfer targets which to be honest is not a bad thing.

Since arriving last summer for £17.8million from Burnley, he seems to have vanished from view.

Cornet has managed a paltry 665 minutes in 23 appearances over two seasons in all competitions for the Hammers, per transfermarkt

The Ivorian winger has providing no goals or assists in just 14 Premier League appearances.

He has spent more time on the Physio’s table than on the pitch.

So perhaps David Moyes’ old club Everton could be about to help his current employers, West Ham, by taking one of our flops to Goodison Park.

With so many new faces coming in, it makes sense to move one or two players on. And don’t forget we still have the spectre of FFP looking over our shoulder.

I think Sean Dyche could do us all a favour.,

Cornet only signed for us last summer, so the 2 seasons include 1 season + 3 games. I agree he has not worled well for us, but unless we make a profit (highly doubt it), we should keep him. I personally prefer him over Benrahma as he is mych quicker running with the ball

I would be a bit saddened to see him go, as he’s never had a chance with the mysterious injury. I think from what I saw at Burnley, he could have been a more dynamic option down the left if Benny was on one of his off days, or we just wanted to change things around. Much more natural on the left than Fornals (who I’d like to see more as an 8 or 10).
But then again I dont see him in training, so can only really go on the decent performances I saw at Burnley
ps 2 season is harsh, only really 1 season now isn’t it 😉

I think he hasn’t been given a fair crack of the whip. He would a decent option up front too. Moyes never plays him or gives him a run of games etc
