Everton to rival Hammers for striker target

Everton is making Aleksandar Mitrovic one of their top targets according to reports.

Despite being relegated with Fulham the striker still managed to help himself to 11 goals and 3 assists accounting for almost a third of his team’s goal tally in a disappointing season for the Cottagers.

The 24-year-old joined Newcastle from RSC Anderlecht in 2015 for a transfer fee of £16.65 he then later moved from the Magpies to Fulham in the summer of 2018 for £18.18m.

With four years remaining on his contract, Fulham is thought to value their striker at a minimum of £22m but are hoping that stiff competition could push up that price further with reports of bids up to £30m being quoted.

Spurs and Southampton have also been linked with the 47-capped Serbia international so it appears that the Hammers could have a fight on their hands if they want to make Mitrovic a Hammer. A club insider speaking to Claret and Hugh over Email has put the chances of signing Mitrovic at no more than five per cent as it stands currently.

  1. Look let’s be honest we should be going all out for Gomez we’ve ruled ourselves out without even trying . I know he’s expensive but surely we should be looking at improving our first team Gomez would do that . We’re cheapskates as usual we say big club but we’re nowhere near . I guess out of Mitrovic and Rondon I would prefer Mitrovic same old from our board.
