At last West Ham United fans have a match to look forward to – the away fixture against Everton had been earmarked as ‘one to bear through gritted teeth’ until Graham Potter was surprisingly sacked at the weekend and Nuno Espírito Santo appointed in his stead.
The newly installed Portuguese Hammers coach now has to select his first starting eleven – we know that James Ward Prowse has not travelled so Potter’s West Ham love – in with JWP is well and truly over.
It will be intriguing to see how West Ham set up after just one weekend under their new coach: Keep to the same plan or start afresh under Nuno?
Nuno Espirito Santo’s first West Ham United starting eleven has just been published and here it is, with two changes from Potter’s last team out: A full debut for Soungoutou Magassa in place of James Ward Prowse (!) and Niclas Fullkrug starts in place of Callum Wilson.
West Ham United starting XI:
Areola | Walker Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Diouf | Fernandes, Paquetá, Magassa| Bowen , Summerville, Fullkrug

Substitutes: Youngsters Ollie Scarles, Callum Marshall and Freddie Potts all on the bench.
We’ll be back after the game with Gonzo’s player ratings – how does he do it so fast – and my slightly more considered ‘first impressions – final whistle’ article within a few minutes of the game end.
Happy with this ,the news about JWP on my clay home from work was music to my ears
Where’s Todibo?
Glad JWP has been dropped. Can’t really see who else should be replaced. It will be interesting to see what approach he takes for the game
Academy coaches assisting is worthy of mention.
It’s a bit jury rigged but that can be good.
Scarles, Potts and Marshall on the bench is also noteworthy.
Take that back apologies – read predicted line up and saw JWP.
My bad
