ExWHUEmployee is today confirming the serious doubts being entertained by the board over handing David Moyes a new contract or continuing current talks.
The 6-0 drubbing by Arsenal could not have had a more disastrous outcome for the Scot – other than being immediately handed his P45.
EX confirms Moyes contract doubts
Ex’s report coincides almost precisely with Claret and Hugh‘s report of yesterday, when a seriously high source told us that the jury was out and they would see how things go “over the x number of games.”
Now Ex has told the West Ham Way Podcast that there are some serious doubts over the manager and he claims to have based that on “speaking to the very top.”
The dust may settle of course should he manage to get a win at Forest at the weekend but that’s very much a fifty fifty call despite the midlands outfit having lost two and drawn two of their last four Premier League games.
The two defeats were by the odd goal in home games against Arsenal and Newcastle despite them playing very well in both games. Defeat at the sixteenth place team or even a draw would be another major blow for Moyes as he bids to halt a dreadful run of eight games without victory in Premier League and FA Cup games.
“Understandably, there are some serious doubts over David Moyes,” reported Ex on The West Ham Way Podcast. “We have spoken with the very top and it was said: ‘Whilst David Moyes is statistically the best manager in what he’s delivered for the club, its clear his style is not appreciated.’
“We know the Chairman is very aware of the discontent amongst the fans, he’s not on social media but is very well informed of what is happening.”
No surprise there Ex – C and H has regularly been telling him that!
