West Ham areg being reported as watching yet another striker – this time in Turkey!
According to ExWHUemployee, David Moyes may be looking at Besiktas striker Vincent Aboubvakar and for good measure has thrown in another…one a blast from the past in Troy Deeney,
He names Ishak Belfodi – an Algerian team-mate of Said Benrahma and a 28 year year old currently playing in Germany for 899 Hoffenheim and the Algeria national team.
He is a former France youth international, he was called up to the Algeria national team for the first time in August 2012.
Deeney would be a surprise given his age and Moyes’ emphasis on building a young and energetic Hammers team and Turkish players are regularly linked with us during the transfer window.
The club are desperate to find a striker in this window but little information is escaping under Moyes although Josh King is known to be on their target list.
As far as Deeney is concerned that would be a big backward step surely and in fairness Ex makes it clear he isn’t certain about the situation surrounding the out of contract Deeney.
He said on his podcast: “I’m am unsure of the club are keen but given he is out of contract he could be looked at.”
I don’t think TD was dressed for Watford’s last match. Injured. With Hammerpete, look for youth.
Troy has been a great servant to Watford and a thorn in our side – but surely not?? Out of contract at his home club, who are EFL level, a player at the end of his career – this cannot be our template! I do like the idea of a younger player either Czech or Turk to link with current players as long as they are good enough.
