Lewis Orford

ExWHUEmployee has revealed that two of our academy prospects  impressed David Moyes in a behind closed doors game against Oxford United at Rush Green last week.

Ex has explained  the club wanted to given the younger players a chance to show off what they have got to David Moyes whilst several of the first teamers were away with their various nations

The Hammers eventually won the game 2-1 after Oxford took the lead via a penalty. Goals from hugely impressive Lewis Orford and Gideon Kodua eventually saw the Irons get the result.

Ex claimed on his West Ham Way Patreon that Orford and Conor Coventry were the duo who must have left a very good impression with the manager from the reports he has received.

Commenting he said that he understood that Lewis Orford, who grabbed the equaliser, played very well and certainly caught the eye – as he continues his excellent development.

He added: “The other player who played very well was Conor Coventry, who the club will be making a decision over his long term future, towards the end of the season.”

However, CandH understands the midfielder will be allowed to leave the club.
