Ex-West Ham assistant takes charge in Germany

Former West Ham assistant manager Edin Terzic is currently in charge of Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

The Bundesliga giants have sacked their manager Lucien Favre following a shock 5-1 loss to newly-promoted Stuttgart.

With Favre gone, they have appointed a backroom staff member as the interim boss at Signal Iduna Park, with Terzic handed the reigns.

He previously worked with the Hammers when Slaven Bilic was in charge.

Terzic was a central staff figure during the final season at the Boleyn, missing out on Champions League football by just four points.

He moved to Dortmund in 2018 and has been a member of the backroom team for the past two years.

Now though, the club have given him the chance to manage the likes of Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland until the end of the season at least.

Terzic cut his teeth in coaching at Dortmund, working with the youth teams before moving to Besiktas with Bilic in 2013, and then following him to east London.

Good luck, Edin!
