Exclusive: Hammers rule out move for Howe

CandH Exclusive

West Ham – like many other clubs including Arsenal – have given up any hope of ever attracting Eddie Howe to the London Stadium.

The Bournemouth boss – having been in charge of the Cherries currently for seven years and two before spending an ill-fated spell at Burnley has absolutely no intention of leaving the south coast.

The Hammers are not looking for a Pellegrini replacement but were the moment come when they do, Howe will definitely not be in the frame.

He was wanted by Arsenal a couple or three years back but he is so happy and settled on the south coast – a situation known throughout the game – there have been no approaches to the club for permission to speak with him.

A well placed Hammers source told ClaretandHugh: “It’s one of the best known things in football. He wants no other club and to be honest it’s great to see such loyalty.

“There is no mood for change at our club right now but were that to change Eddie would not be among the candidates simply because he would not want to be. He’s entirely happy where he is.”

  1. More bad news thanks …nothing is 100% in football

  2. Over the course of 2019 Bournemouth have an even worse record than us. They are 18th with 35pts from 20. We are one above (38pts). Would he really have been the answer? We shall never know -but probably not.

  3. Football is never 100% and finding and saying the right things is the game of convining him to leave
    Howe was my third choice
    Niko kovac being 1st
    Pochettino 2nd
    And howe 3rd
Each manager has pros and cons

But in the real world cant see kovac working with
    The muppets up top
Or the muppets find the right things to tempt howe

So that leaves poch rumors that his wanted at united or madrid
We unfortunately would never compete with madrid but if we was to time it just right if real went else where and we went for poch striaght after he didnt go to madrid and before united threw there hat in i think we would be seriously in the running for many a reasons
    Rivals to spurs
    More money than spurs
    Not as much pressure
Still in london ( rumor his family want to stay in london)

  4. More money than spurs ??!
