Exclusive: Lanzini and Liverpool – Sullivan speaks!

EXCLUSIVE By Hugh Southon

David Sullivan has sent a brief but straight to the point message to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp!

With misinformed speculation still swirling around the media that Manuel Lanzini is on the Kop radar Sullivan told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “Manu Lanzini is not for sale – it’s as straightforward as that.”

The co chairman chose to elaborate no further on what are often manufactured domino falling links such as this as there is absolutely no need.

With the club in conversations with the player over the possibility of him extending his deal which runs out in 2020 Liverpool have no chance of wooing the Argentine into Anfield.

And as reported by CandH a week ago there have in fact been no offers and enquiries for the player from Liverpool or anywhere else despite reports to the contrary on SportNation.com.

The club has brushed off speculation that with Neymar’s departure from Barcelona and the possibility of Phillipe Coutinho replacing him that Manu will be the next domino slotting into place, which has resulted in SportNation.bet offering 20/1 on Liverpool to win the league.

Agents are undoubtedly talking in the background in a bid to try and make the thing happen but it won’tย with Sullivan declaring: “It’s very simple – he is going nowhere – he is not for sale.

  1. DS could said this at least three weeks ago.

  2. Oh dear Dave will be in trouble now. He’s been told he’s not allowed to speak and he is speaking again as if he owns the club. Deary me, deary deary me.

    • Yeah but i expect he got written permission from the other site first. He has to run every press release past them these days John.Didnt you know that ๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. I am not sure it matters when he says it personally or if he had said nothing at all, there haven’t been any bids for Lanzini that is all that is important, so long as the player is happy at the club that’s all I care about, if a big club comes in for him we will struggle to keep him it has always been that way at West Ham and until we have 20 years of regularly qualifying for CL it will probably remain that way and even then whose to say they wouldn’t leave. If Barcelona can’t keep Neymar we sure as hell can’t keep any of our players as evidenced by Payet who was on a long contract.

  4. Which five of those words did he send?

  5. Didnt he say the same about the french person. If daft money is offered then ever one has a chance of going.

  6. Whats to worry about.most of it is 2+2=5 by the press.
First of all Liverpoo will have to sell Coutinho & then actually want Manu as his replacement. Its all a load shyt as it stands. No drama imo ๐Ÿ˜†

  7. So that’s ยฃ100m then. If Barca have ยฃ200 from Neymar and splash ยฃ108m on Coutinho, we should get the lions share for Manu, leaving them ยฃ8m to buy some new hubcaps.

  8. He ain’t going nowhere yet ! Not until they sort out his new contract and buy out clause which is probably ยฃ18-50, they should have secured him last year on big bucks ,, we all knew he was special ?
But what we’ve all learned is nothing is impossible nowadays ๐Ÿ˜‰

  9. I remember Mesrs Good & Sulivan declaring ” we are no longer a selling club ” .
Payet was a nasty boil on the arse , can’t fault them for that .
I can’t imagine West Ham undoing all the good work they have done this transfer window by letting go of Lanzini . Apart from that Lanzini is made of sterner stuff than that Boil .
If he does eventually leave us , it won’t be anytime soon IMO .
The only danger with being a good player is that somebody comes knocking eventually .

    • Every club is a selling club now Kev even the ManUtd’s and Barcelona’s if a player wants to move they move, sad but there is no loyalty in players these days and those that are loyal get dog’s abuse like Noble hehe I say that knowing I am critical of him ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  10. Don’t know why everyone is getting their knickers in a twist over this. The last time I looked at the calendar it was the year 2017. Players now go where the money is…………end of.

  11. Kerching to that ๐Ÿ˜‰

  12. Barcelona’s men are already in Liverpool…so I’m confident that they are not going back empty handed..and then we’ll have to wait…and prey..

  13. If he really wants to go he will go & just like the Frog Spawn in a few weeks we would have forgotten about him.Players come, players go,its just the way it is.
Imagine being a Saints supporter in the last few years, poor b*stards have been robbed left, right & centre by every big club around.
Anyway if Poo come for him they will be met with fire & fury like the world has never seen, thats what Trump said about it or was he on about N Korea ๐Ÿ˜

  14. The only way to stop this contract crap is to simply hit the pocket’s of the want away player
So it makes them suffer big time and the powers that be need to ban them for a season for breaking contractorial commitments ๐Ÿ˜ฌ then let the bearded ladies stone em to death ๐Ÿ˜‚

  15. If Liverpool get anywhere near 100mIll for Coutinho then I can see them looking for a bigger name than Lanzini.
Don;t get me wrong, I think the lads good, but they’ll want a big name IMO, which suits us just fine.

If the worse happens and he does go then I’d like to think we’d have a decent fee to use to get a solid replacement…..cue a cheap deal for Wilshire lol

    • I can’t believe Barca are willing to pay ยฃ120m for Coutinho and even more that Liverpool turned down a ยฃ72m bid hahaha the guy is a decent player but I wouldn’t even put him in the ยฃ30m bracket, Neymar’s transfer has exploded the market.

      • Its just another nail in the lid 32 ๐Ÿ˜ฏ just another example of media control , its hedge onic ! It hasn’t stopped yet , they will take over eventually and tell us who we can go see next ! Money is the bane of society ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
That’s enough of the wolfey smith slot ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  16. If that happened munchie sugo had better find a deep trench
The mob is gathering as we speak in antipidation ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  17. I don’t often post on West Ham sites but I do enjoy reading the banter and people’s opinions but I felt on this occasion I have to reply to all you wannabe mangers and club owners.
as we all well know or most of us know if a players head is turned not one of us including the owners can prevent him leaving the club no matter how long he has left on his contract DS is simply saying he is not for sale which I applaud him for but if lanzini wants to move on which I pray he don’t then there is nothing anyone can do about it, so do us all a favour and get of the boards / owners back and try to be positive

  18. Were sorry Teresa ๐Ÿ˜‚ for upsetting the board and you’re self included but we say what we like , well at least before the tipex man strikes ๐Ÿ˜‚ and if I MAY say so it was a pretty poor first armchair management post , much like the last election fiasco ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ please relay our most sincere apologies to I’m a lady Karen that banter will resume as normal, and asking you to intervene was like asking baldric to do a speech at the annual conservative party conference
After spending 3 weeks underground with the colonel , darling and his pet leach , people would say the stench was intolerable ๐Ÿ˜‰ but its the norm evidently , every year ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  19. I dont want to be the manager or owner of our football club,i can think of nothing worse than having you miserable b*stards criticising everything i did ๐Ÿ˜‚

  20. I just hope we have a replacement in our sights
Because I love the Jewel but if Klopp wants him he will offer him ยฃ30 K a week more then us plus signing on bonus
It would be nice if he signs a new contract and stays for the whole contract
Hope soon he is the oldest player we have on the pitch
    Give youth a chance

  21. Yes that would work really well in the premier league Lanzini the oldest player on the pitch at twenty four or twenty five.

Hello relegation here we come.you are living in a dream world bubs.
